We've been hearing so much about these protein bars that we caught up with Kristine after her 1st spin at Roll™ to see if we could post it for everyone to enjoy! Not only did she give us the recipe but she also had some pretty awesome things to say about her very first workout in the studio!
Kristine: "I LOVED my first experience at Roll™! I'm really competitive but not a strong cyclist so it was cool to see how my stats matched up to everyone else on the screen. I really enjoyed the playlist and even caught myself singing along to Maroon 5 while I was riding. :) My favorite part was receiving an email with my Spivi stats after the ride because I'm pumped about getting to track my progress along the way. Oh, it was also pretty great when Adrienne (the instructor) helped me set up my bike, filled my water bottle, and handed me a cold towel when it was over! It was so nice to be pampered in a fitness facility, especially after burning up 8 miles on the bike"!
Now, here comes the recipe:
- 2 Cups Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Honey
- 2 Cups protein powder
- 1 scoop (1/4 C) Milled Flax Seed
- 3 Cups Quick Cooking Oats
Microwave peanut butter & honey for 1 minute. Mix until well blended, add protein powder, flax seed, and oatmeal and mix well. Line a 9X13 pan with wax paper and press mixture into pan. Refrigerate for a couple hours then cut into bars. Store in plastic bags in frig. YUMMO!
